Die Anfrage richtet sich an interessierte kulturelle Partner, die über eine Kunsttradition verfügen, die in irgendeiner Weise mit Wasser im Zusammmenhang steht. Die Zusammenarbeit würde in Form von Diskussionen und Erfahrungsaustausch stattfinden, um sich dann möglicherweise gemeinsam um eine europäische Förderung zu bewerben. (Preliminary) Title of the project
Art on Water’s Edge (AWE)
Organisation looking for partners Skive is a small town in Denmark next to a large inland fjord. Water has always been important to the social, economic and cultural development of the town. The municipality has bought a houseboat and converted it to a floating art centre where paintings, music and other types of art are exhibited. The Swan as the culture houseboat is called sail around to other towns in the inland fjord and takes part in local festivals and other events organised by local artists or citizens.

Outline of the project idea
Skive would like to create a project about exchanging art and artists under the theme of water. Water both marks borders in Europe and bring people and cultures together by trading routes and natural resources. The project also aims to blend different types of art just as water can easily be mixed. Art and artists in areas such as painting, sculpturing, music, light, IT-art etc. would thus be mixed so they could be create new art together or expose their art in different ways.

Describe the kind of partners you are looking for and their expected role in the project
Skive is looking for partners with an art tradition connected to water in some way. Ideally partner towns are situated next to a river, fjord or the sea, and have a cultural organisation directly linked to water such as the Swan. But other types of water connection could also be interesting, and fx a museum just next to the water will also be a good partner.
Partners can be municipalities, art associations, museums or other non-profit art organisations.
